To build on that commitment, we have re-established the position of President and Chief Operating Officer and the Board of Directors has elected Christopher E. The World Health Organization (WHO) increased the pandemic alert level this week to phase 6, the highest alert level and the first declaration of an influenza pandemic in 41 years. That action by WHO will not result in changes at LMC facilities; LMC will continue to monitor the pandemic and follow guidance provided by local health officials and community leaders.
